What we do

Installation is the whole job, not an add-on

Artek is an installation company. Brands, print producers, contractors and property managers bring us the artwork, the fixtures or the film, and we get it onto walls, glass, doors, fixtures and vehicles correctly the first time.

That means measuring in the field instead of trusting a drawing, flagging substrate problems before production, working around store hours, and leaving a site clean and open for business the next morning.

How we work
  • Surveyed firstWe field-measure and photograph before anything is printed or cut.
  • Own crewsCertified installers on our payroll, not a rotating sub list.
  • After hoursNight and weekend installs so trading hours are not lost.
  • One reportPhoto sign-off and an exception log at the end of every install.

Who we work for

Built for people who buy installation

Most of our work arrives through companies that need a reliable pair of hands in Saskatchewan.

  • National rollout companies

Prairie coverage for programs already running in other provinces.

  • Retail contractors

Decor and fixture packages installed to the brand prototype.

  • General contractors

Film and finish scopes closed out without holding up the schedule.

  • Construction managers

Field measurements and access notes before production starts.

  • Property managers

Security, solar and safety film retrofits in occupied buildings.

  • Homeowners

Residential window film and glass privacy work, same crews.

Site surveys

Nothing gets installed off a drawing

A survey is the cheapest part of any install and the part that prevents the expensive surprises. We measure the actual glass, wall and fixture, photograph it straight on and in context, and record how the crew gets in.

  • Field measurements verified against the drawings
  • Substrate, texture and glass type assessed
  • Straight-on and context photographs of every surface
  • Access notes: lifts, loading routes, security check-in, after-hours rules
  • Exception log for anything that will not build as drawn

Straight answers

Questions buyers ask us first

The technical questions we get asked most, answered without the sales gloss.

All questions

Does security film stop break-ins?

No. Security film delays forced entry rather than preventing it. It holds broken glass in the opening so an intruder needs repeated, loud, visible effort instead of one hit, and that delay is what deters most attempts.

Does window film reduce heat?

Yes. Solar control film reflects and absorbs part of the solar spectrum before it enters the room, which lowers solar heat gain and cooling load. A US General Services Administration field study measured an average 29% annual HVAC saving in the perimeter zone of retrofitted buildings.

Is architectural film better than renovating a surface?

It is better when the surface is structurally sound and only the finish is dated. Film changes the look in place, with no demolition, no disposal and usually no closure, at a fraction of the cost of replacement. It is the wrong choice when the substrate itself has failed.

What is bird-friendly glass?

Glass treated so birds can see it. In practice that means a marker pattern on the outside surface, spaced closely enough that a bird will not try to fly between the markers. The Canadian standard CSA A460 sets out marker size, spacing and how much of a facade to treat.
